The Manipal Journal is a news website based out of Manipal. Started by a dedicated team of journalism students as a blog in 2007, TMJ, as it is fondly referred to, has reported stories from Manipal for over 9 years, in the right balance and with good intentions.

The Manipal Journal is an active news-based storytelling website, operating out of the university town of Manipal, Karnataka. A robust 11 years on from when six students of Journalism decided to explore the storytelling opportunities that the free internet provided, The Manipal Journal is still run by an army of volunteer photographers, reporters, editors and videographers, working not-for-profit round the year. Experimenting with and exercising a curiosity we know to be in our essence, The Manipal Journal intends and strives to capture Manipal, and the world, as it happens.
