Barkur: An ancient temple in Barkur {Hosala} is in ruins with neither a guide nor a security in charge.

Is it not the responsibility of Govt authorities to preserve these ancient temples? Why this is not being taken up by the villagers? Does any other religion permit such negligence? My compliments to Manipal Journal to have brought out this fact to light.
