Manipal: The celebrations of the grand Paryaya festival last week were followed by various music and dance performance during 21st-23rd of January.

The venue for this programme was the famous Raja Ghat Hall. This cultural programme has been a part of the Paryaya festivities for the past 15 years now.

One of the main highlights of this programme was an enthralling dance performance by Nevedita, a girl with hearing and speech impairment.

“India is cultured, exotic and beautiful. All of which was represented through the various art forms that I saw in these performances,” said Aksan, a Ukranian tourist visiting the festival.

The stage was set in the Shiroor Mutt style as a dedication to the Swami Vidyasagar, the present successor to the chair at the Mutt.
