Manipal: Manipal University (MU) has opened the “Experience Theatre” in the building which will give viewers a chance to explore Manipal through a collection of videos. The virtual tour will give students and parents a quick walk-through of the different colleges. It’ll also provide information about courses provided by the University.

This virtual theatre, lined with images and information about Manipal and the University consists of 13 projection design projectors, nine plasma televisions and four iPads. Total cost of the project designed by Eureka Enterprises is Rs. 4 crores and took over a period of six months to be completed.

The tour which lasts for twenty minutes is divided into various segments showcasing the various timelines that MU has seen throughout the years. The virtual tour was also visited by President of India; Pranab Mukherjee (then Finance Minister) in May who gave positive responses after the tour.

“The newly-introduced virtual tour is a perfect attraction for parents who wish to send their children to Manipal and for students who wish to come to Manipal,” said Suresh K., Management Executive, Media and Information, Manipal University.

“The tour is presented really well and has got me really excited for my stay in Manipal. I’m sure if my German mates had seen this, they would want to join Manipal University too,” said Ms Laura, an exchange student from Germany studying in Kasturba Medical College.
