KMC’s literary committee’s annual fest started off with the opening ceremony on 10 September, for which the Dean of KMC Manipal, Dr. G. Pradeep Kumar and the Associate Dean Dr Sampath Kumar were present.
With over 30 individual , group and gaming events including debates, extempore and poetry, Vibes presented ‘Mystery’ through six main events – speaking , quiz, writing, art, photography and gaming. Other than this, there were daily events like Sudoku, mystery box and even a meme making competition.
Suraj Menon , a prominent quiz master and a KMC alumnus conducted a variety of quiz competitions like India quiz and S.P.E.N.T quiz. ‘My aim is to introduce and include as many quiz programs as possible and make it better each time’, he said.
Another event that seemed to draw enthusiasm and participation was Just A Minute (JAM). Shatatru, a second year KMC Mangalore student said, ‘The event is very different from how it is conducted in KMC Mangalore so it took a while to get started since it created a lot of confusion amongst the newcomers.’
The fest ended with a valedictory function that took place on the last day, where the prizes were distributed by the dignitaries.
