Farhan Akhtar brings down curtains on Revels’151 min read
The highlights of the last two days of MIT’s four day cultural fest were Battle of the Bands and the Farhan Akhtar concert, based on the crowd turnout. “Farhan Akhtar performing here is one of the best things to have happened at MIT,” said Ananya Sen, a fourth year MIT student. “With 400o people, it was loud and energetic. The only problem was that there was a lot of shoving in the central area, to a point where Farhan stopped singing and asked everyone to calm down so that nobody got hurt.”
Before the Proshow, fourteen bands performed at the MIT quadrangle in a Battle of the Bands. Vishwanath, a third year MIT student said, “This is my favourite event at Revels every year. Generally, it’s pretty underrated and given the quality of the performances, the turnout is not that great, although this year it is better than last year.”
The other events over the last two days were dance competitions, photography competitions, street plays and MIT’s version of Pretentious Movie Reviews. “All the dance competitions were great. A lot of talented people compete at Revels. It’s a tough competition,” said Ishita, a first year student at MIT.
