Launched in 2013, the AMCHI Project is a collaborated effort between MCODS, European Dental Students’ Association (EDSA) and Wisdomtooth, a dental volunteer organisation from USA.  It is aimed at educating and increasing the skills of local healthcare providers, allowing them to provide basic dental care in Leh, Ladakh. It also provides a platform for budding dental professionals to experience community involvement and outreach work at an early period of their professional lives.

A five course meal with a beverage, the course included many authentic dishes such as Pisang Goereng ,banana slices coated with batter and served with nutella or cheese, and Asam Laksa, a sour fish-based soup.
The fest was sold out and people came together in support of this cause.
“It was a very successful event as a result of our head and founder of AMCHI programme – Dr. Shashidar Acharya, all MCODS and WGSHA team members’ great work. And of course the support of all the wonderful guests for this great cause that we are all serving.” Said Lynn Tung, one of the organisers of the fest.
