Manipal: The Cambiar Leaders Meet 2015 was held on 23rd September at NLH and brought together 14 MIT clubs on the same platform to introduce freshmen to the MIT club culture. The event saw over 500 students in attendance.

Organized by Leaders of Tomorrow, the audience witnessed a series of talks by the leaders of various clubs, engaging and informing them about their club’s motto and working. The event was aimed at bringing together the various technical teams, social clubs, literary clubs, drama clubs, entrepreneurship clubs and other offbeat forums on a common podium.

The event intended to familiarise the first years with the various clubs within the campus and provide clarity and information about them. The event was a one day affair, as opposed to the three day meet organised last year.

It was to be held at NLH 203 and 303 of the MIT building, however due to an unexpectedly large turnout, the event was held in three venues. Nihitha Alicherry, an organiser of the event remarked “It went much better than planned. We thought it would fill up in two rooms but we got way more than expected so we opened a third room”.

A variety of new clubs and offbeat groups were roped in for the event as opposed to the previous year wherein, the business, social and theatre clubs were invited to speak on different days.

Harsh Maheshwari, a first year student of automobile engineering stated, “It was very informative and engaging. I now have a basic idea about all the clubs in Manipal”.
