Manipal: Day 2 of TechTatva’15, the annual national technical festival of Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), received a high number of participants for their online events. They also celebrated the ethnic day where the traditional ethnic clothes added colour to the fest.

The participants, who were interested in registering for the online events, could do so through a separate site: Last year, there were approximately 250 participants for online events all over the country. This year, the online events saw involvement of many outstation colleges such as IIIT Hyderabad, IIT Delhi, and NIT, to name a few. “I was very excited about TechTatva but my sprained leg ruined my exhilaration. So I participated in Hopeless Opus, an online event under Acumen. Being an online event, I could participate without getting out of my bed. It was fun, but on the other hand it restricted interaction,” said Riju Khatri, second year, MIT.

As the day caught its beat, the enthusiasm only rose. The informal stalls such as Memory Game, Heals Up, Corner 4, Electro Buzz, Scavenger Hunt and Pool Soccer were jam-packed with students. There was also a stall for registrations for Conclave, a two-day event under Tech-Tatva. The event shares the experiences of renowned authors and ex-students of MIT.

This year, the new Tech-Tatva app has facilitated the students in getting to know about the event effortlessly. The app, so far, saw 1000 downloads.
