Manipal: T A Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) held its 23rd annual market research fair, BrandScan at Kasturba Medical College (KMC) Greens on October 25. This year saw a high number of technology based activities and a higher infiltration of digital connectivity in marketing strategies.
The entire venue was 4g enabled. Some of the games in the event required one to be connected to the network. “As we graduate from one year to another, marketing methods change – 5 years ago, pen and paper was more common but now, we see a higher usage of digital marketing,” said Navin, a second year TAPMI Student who was the project leader for one of the market research games this year. He added that Facebook and Television marketing has been seamlessly integrated into our lives.
The day also saw many interesting events, such as ‘Zest’ – a dance competition for children and ‘Panache’ – a fashion fest for colleges under Manipal University. This fest saw different fashion teams put together a show of about ten minutes each, varying in themes and design. Manipal College Of Dental Sciences (MCODS) Mangalore won the first prize, of fifty thousand rupees. Burning Ice won second place, winning twenty five thousand rupees.
