With this, 5 acres of land would be allotted to the Sunni Waqf Board in an alternate site in the city of Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.

The Manipal Journal explores the long awaited verdict delivered today by the Court.

Instagram post 2173494997524392392_3836937903 The declaration of the Ayodhya verdict became the second-longest proceeding carried out in the Supreme Court of India, spanning across 40 days. The lengthy case has fuelled political as well as religious debate over the disputed land where the Babri Masjid once stood. Today, this came to an end when the five-judge bench of the Supreme Court ruled the land in favour of the Hindus.

The Manipal Journal explores the timeline leading up to this landmark judgement.

Macro photography, also known as photomacrography or macrography is extreme close up photography which uses the art of making a subject larger than its actual life size. This style of photography, introduced in the 1950s, gives fresh perspective to small scale objects, plants, and insects, among other things.

Instagram post 2162468498474178917_3836937903 With the rise of development and expansion, deforestation in Manipal has been of growing concern. The changing climate of this region and the threats of deforestation are not unknown, with greater effects of heat due to less tree cover.

Instagram post 2128513407228708183_3836937903 On July 22, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) launched its second mission to the moon, Chandrayaan-2. One of the main objectives of the mission was to have a soft landing on the moon’s South Polar Region in order to study the area over a planned period of 14 days. The satellite would continue to orbit the moon and create a 3D map of the area.
The Manipal Journal presents all the relevant details about ISRO’s mission to the moon.

Edit: Slide 5 of the above graphic has an error.
Continued efforts to re-establish communication with the lander by ISRO and NASA were unsuccessful, and still remain to be so.
